ATI will release the little brother of Radeon 9700 on 15th of October. Radeon 9500 is aiming the market of Ti 4200 of NVIDIA, which is comparedly the best in price/performance rate.
As usual, Radeon 9500 will come in two versions, standard and Pro. The former will have 128 MB of RAM while the latter will have 64 MB. The core and RAM speeds can probably be equalized by o/c but there won’t be much to do about RAM capacities.
The prices will be a little bit more expensive than GF4 Ti4200 but the extra you pay will give you a DirectX 9 support, 8 pipelines and better 2D image quality. The Pro version will be 219$ while the standard will cost 179$.
