Sony Interactive Entertainment, yeni nesil oyun konsolu PlayStation 5 için yayınladığı 2.0-04.00.00 numaralı Beta sistem güncellemesini Beta programına katılan kullanıcılara sundu. Yeni sistem güncellemesi PS5’te henüz aktif olmayan M.2 SSD yuvasını kullanılabilir duruma getiriyor. Bu sayede PS5 kullanıcıları tavsiye edilen özellikteki M.2 SSD‘leri kullanabilecekler.
Tavsiye edilen M.2 SSD özelliklerine baktığımızda başta PCle 4.0 destekli en az 250 GB, en fazla da 4 TB kapasiteli M.2 SSD’lerin kullanılabileceğini görüyoruz. Yine uyumluluk listesinde 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 ve 22110 form faktörlerinin desteklendiğini görüyoruz. En büyük gereksinimlerden, Sony’nin tavsiye ettiği okuma hızı ise 5,500MB/s olarak belirtilmiş. Henüz resmi bir uyumluluk listesi yer almasa da PS5 ile uyumluluktaki ilk resmi M.2 SSD’nin Seagate‘in FireCuda 530 serisi olduğunu söyleyebiliriz.
We have done some testing with Sony on the PlayStation 5 and today we can confirm that the FireCuda 530 with the heatsink has met all the PS5 requirements. With the PS5 design, the SSD card slot is very narrow, so there’s not much room for the SSD to mount. However, with the FireCuda 530 – even with the heatsink on the top – the slim design allows for it to fit. Of course, the FireCuda 530 without the heatsink is slimmer, so both of them will fit into the PS5.”
